A dusting of snow on the tree branches as I look out the front window to the maple and the magnolia in the front yard. The palette is white, gray, copper--copper for the smattering of leaves that still blow freely in the chilly breeze. This is a winter scene that I visit frequently. I look out on this vista almost every morning while I drink my tea and many afternoons, gazing out from the confines of the cozy couch. Though I delight in color, this winter view is a perfect meditation on a cold January afternoon.
