It was 63 degrees at 4 o'clock this afternoon when I quickly threw on a sweater over my t-shirt and shorts and took the dog for what I thought would be a lovely, refreshing walk. It turned out to be a very lovely, but very chilly walk. Portents of the days to come. The sky today was slate blue--just perfect, with very few clouds. Already some of the trees are losing leaves, mainly, I think, because of all the dry weather we've had. I always love this time of year when the tree limbs sway in the breeze and the spirit of the trees comes alive.
