Two ducks in mudtime

The day began like a morning in May, the temperature climbing to sixty degrees in early afternoon.Then the clouds appeared, dark, scudding, and the wind picked up to 45 miles per hour. Found these two ducks wading and wondering

Daffodil dreaming

Found these little daffodil sprouts in the yard today, despite the cold, overcast weather.  Within just about a month, I think, I'll be able to visit the daffodil glade at the Morton Arboretum to see  waves of these filling the fields.

Twenty-two days until spring

I'm cheating a little today. I took this photo last year, just when spring was about to burst. My excuse for cheating is that I spent all day sitting waiting to be called for jury duty. Thankfully, I didn't get on a trial.

Looking forward to seeing these berries again soon.

I haven't written much here of late. These gray days make coming up with a photo idea challenging. It's been 7 months since I began taking a photo a day. Despite the challenges of the gray days and the days I'm dog-tired (literally-when the dog hasn't slept all night), I've found, much to my chagrin that it's days like this that I come up with my best photos (although not necessarily today) . So putting the camera in my hand each day has certainly helped me create some new work and for that I'm happy and grateful.
