The light the last few days has been so lovely.
It's a crisp, windy Saturday, and a walk with the dog involves a lot of leaf crunching. The sound of it is wonderful. Brings back memories of childhood when my Dad would put on his old felt fedora and roll up his sleeves, rake the leaves to the parkway and light the pile. Then he'd usually light up a cigarette himself and stand talking to one of the neighbors while the pile turned to ash.
When my son was little, we used to pick a night like tonight will be, just before Halloween, to walk a couple of miles to the local ice cream shop. We got to talk and look at all the decorations, the houses lit from within with lamplight. Good memories.
I am thoroughly enjoying your photographs, Mary. Including today's grape vines. I have been following them but didn't know I could post a comment without being a Facebook member!

Pat,
I'm so glad you're enjoying it. It's really nice to know that someone is reading this besides me! Makes me push a little harder.
