My friend Jane has come up with another great art idea for her air plants--rock and roll plants. Neat idea if you have some old 45's hanging around. Can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
In other news, I've been juried into a wonderful exhibition, "From Frida to Artemisia," at Oakton College in Des Plaines. The premise was to create a piece of art in the style of a well-known woman painter, photographer or sculptor. I chose Uta Barth whose work about light I just love. The opening reception is Thursday, October 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Koehnline Museum at Oakton (see www. oakton.edu/museum). I'd love to see you there if you'd like to stop in.
